Bali’s Incredible Tropical Fruit

Our Floating Leaf Bali Photo of The Day is purposely meant to make your mouth water.

All of our guests enjoy freshly picked organic tropical fruits during their stay at Floating Leaf Eco-Resort. We love to see the curiosity and enjoyment as people are introduced to exotic offerings for the first time. The smiles and comments are just as sweet as the delicacies they are enjoying. Bali has an abundance of curious but luscious fruits that many guests have never seen, tasted or heard of before.

Many people are familiar with guava and papaya but how about salak or snake fruit? Others include buah Nga AKA Dragon fruit, rambutan, kelengkeng, and markisa, to name a few. Other fruits featured in the photo include apple-bananas, mangosteen, and starfruit know as belimbing here in Bali.

Many people even say that fruit they have had previously at home tastes better here in Bali. I agree and have always said that you have not tasted a mango until you have had one in South East Asia. They don’t travel well and people are generally shocked when they try their first Balinese mango.
