Eco-Retreat update for November

Hello Friends,

Putu and I wanted to SHARE with you some of the newest images of Floating Leaf as we near completion (date of posting November 2013). Its been five years of planning, studying, designing, and testing; and just a month to go. We can’t wait to share it with you.

The first shot shows Floating Leaf’s profile from our neighbor’s farm. The roof of the yoga hall is not being completed. A special team of Balinese artists were hired to construct the complicated roof project. Its all coming together and its been spectacular to watch these talented men and women perform their artistry.

The next photo takes us inside the eco-retreat’s yoga hall. The 2000 square foot (186 square meter) space can host lectures, weddings, music performances and classes from meditation to photography.

In the next image looks down from one of the rooftop terraces to what were calling “The Ultimate Relaxation Pool”. This was one of my pet projects. Since Bali life is largely lived ‘in pool’, I wanted something comfortable and accommodating. I’ve never been in a pool that is truly comfortable to recline and read, or enjoy a tasty beverage. I custom sculpted a range of seats to accommodate various body sizes, a range of activities and levels of reclination. There is also an in pool dining table, waterfall, lotus meditation seats, fountains and more.

The next photograph details the sweeping form of the eco-retreat’s roof and some of the bravest workers I have ever witnessed.

Finally, a fun image looking out of the staff quarter’s bamboo window onto the surrounding rice fields.

Come see for yourself when you can. We can’t wait to warmly welcome you.
