Power of the Practice

Bali Yoga retreat

With Patricia Gough, Sandra Smith and Margot Duteau

March 8-20th, 2015

Our intention while in Bali and Gili Air is for you to have time to focus your attention on an area of your life that you wish to experience growth in. Through consistent work on your mat, through meditation, reading, and journaling, you will have time to experience growth and integrate your learning into a daily practice. Opportunities for quiet conversations with our life coach will help you move past barriers that have kept you from reaching your goals in the past. Reiki treatments with a Level 2 practitioner will move your energy forward and open you to hearing the whispers of your intuition.

Integral to your growth will be the peace you experience being surrounded in exotic beauty in this serene environment. Witnessing the gratitude that is a way of life for the Balinese people will inspire you to implement similar values into your daily life when you return home.

Bali yoga teacher PattiPatricia Gough

As part of my quest to travel and learn, I have taught in two countries, as well as in my home country of Canada.   Transformed by my own travel experiences, my desire is to share the gifts that experiencing other cultures provides.

While traveling through Southeast Asia, I took the opportunity to study Reiki and have found it to be a powerful tool to move individuals forward on their path. This practice that moves energy in the body is also referred to as an energy massage and is a comfortable, relaxing experience.

I found Bali’s essence to be gentle, tranquil, and joyful. Walking through the rice fields at dusk brought renewal and peace. I hope to share the inspiration that comes from this beautiful location, so tranquil, joyful, energetic, vibrant, appreciative, and spiritual. My wish is that you leave feeling at peace and inspired to carry the power of your practice home with you.

Sandra yoga teacherSandra Smith

Sandra Smith is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor. Like many, yoga began as a pathway of healing.  In 2008, after suffering from a running injury she unlaced the runners and took the next steps of her journey with bare feet, straight onto a yoga mat.  She had heard about the many benefits of yoga and thought that her practice would only be for a short period of time.

Six years later and counting her barefooted journey continues, practicing and living her yoga both on and off the mat.  Through the practice of yoga, she learned to slow down and to be present, leading her to find true happiness from within.

She teaches as a way of paying it forward. Creating and holding a warm, welcoming and inclusive space for all, from beginners, anyone working with injuries, to the practiced yogi. In her classes expect to move, breathe, to be challenged and encouraged and to walk away feeling relaxed and inspired.

yoga retreat instructorMargot Duteau

Margot began her journey of self-transformation after turning 40, moving from couch potato to NASM certified personal trainer. After that it was a month in Costa Rica to attend the Nosara Yoga Institute 200-hour Yoga Instructor course. Margot is an avid reader of books with her favorite topic being “self help”. Always trying to improve herself, in 2013 she enlisted the help of a Martha Beck Life Coach and soon realized that was her own calling. She has come to learn that making positive changes all starts with changing our thoughts and loves the process of helping her clients peel back the layers and find their true Essential selves. Margot is currently enrolled in the Martha Beck Life Coach Training and will have this completed in March of 2015.
