Monica is an experienced yoga teacher in Melbourne, Australia, teaching regular classes, workshops and courses in ashtanga, vinyasa, yin, hatha and Yoga Tune Up . Monica has been teaching yoga since 2010 and has been practicing regularly from age 15. Monica sees herself as first and foremost a student of philosophy and lifestyle of yoga, a body of knowledge inclusive but not limited to the physical asana practice. She studies with her teacher Sharath Jois yearly in India and continues to discover new ways into a meditative state by observing the relationship between mind and body in her own practice.
Moncia is a lover of nature and is inspired greatly by the natural world to seek stillness and a spiritual connection to the currents of energy and space present in all natural environments, including the body. Monica’s language in her classes mirrors her deep connection to the elements of earth, to ayurvedic principals of wellbeing, the chakras, and to the energetic cycles of the moon.
