The master wood carvers in our village are supremely talented and among the very best on the island. Guidebooks and blogs might tell you Ubud is “The cultural capitol of Bali”. This might be true of tourist culture but historically the true artistic and cultural centers of Bali are the villages that surround and include our village of Sukawati such as Celuk, Batu Bulan, and others.
