Hello! Om Swastiastu!
Bali Photography ~ Technique and Experimentation
Today’s Bali photo is from a local village procession. The procession was moving past me and I decided to get a bit experimental with the photography. I panned the camera as they want by trying to keep one subject in the same place as they moved past me. It’s not a high percentage photographic technique but it can yield some interesting results.
The gentleman third from the right was luckily kept in focus (somewhat) while a dramatic and artful blurring of the rest of the procession resulted.
Bali Photography ~ Traditional Village Life
This type of Bali Ceremonial Procession is a common sight in our village near Floating Leaf Eco-Retreat. Guests simply step outside of the villa and commonly get the chance to see (and hear) these wonderful examples of Bali village life. Gamelon, ornate offerings, sacred relics, holy water and more cultural elements can be seen in processions such as these.
