Bali Photo of the week ~ Orchid Reflection in Droplet

Hello friends,

Today we bring you a little macro photography. A recent Bali Photo Tour went off the beaten path to explore the finer details. Instead of focusing on huge sculptures and monuments, large and impressive temples, vast and expansive landscapes; the photo tour participants focused on the normally unseen beauty that surrounds us on the “Island of the Gods”.

Here in Bali there are so many spectacular plants and flowers, some in the most unlikely of places.

Bali is so lush and fertile you can find exquisite flowers in a ditch on the side of the road, seemingly discarded, as there is so much beauty to go around, this enchanting specimen is superfluous.

Not the case today as the morning dew crafted a vision that we could not let pass. What you see here is an extreme close up of a single drop of dew clinging to the petal of an orchid. Refracted in the droplet is the orchid just behind it.
