Salamat datang samua! Hello and welcome to your Bali photo of the day.
Today’s Bali image is from a recent yoga and wellness retreat. Putu and I arranged for a very special private Malukat for our Yoga and wellness retreat group. A Malukat is a cleansing ceremony performed by a Balian, Balinese Hindu priest, Pendanda, and other forms of healers and traditional wellness practitioners in Bali.
We will have much more from this Malukat and other ceremonies soon, but we wanted to share with you this photo of a Brahmana high priest of Bali organizing the many offerings that will be used in the ceremony.
Our retreat participants headed out from the villas very early in the morning and headed to Tempak Siring for our private healing ceremony. Tempak Siring is home to the most revered natural springs in Bali. The holy spring are well known for their curative and healing powers. For much more on Tirta Empul Holy Springs and Tempak Siring, just click here.
Several of the participants were brought to tears from the moving ceremony and I have heard from several of them that this was a turning point for them and they have felt a deeper inner peacefullness ever since. please check back soon for our full blog post on the Malukat.
