Our recent Bali yoga retreat group led by Anila Lacroix and Brant Forrester worked for months to collect donations from their home yoga sangha in British Columbia. They were able to gather five large suitcases brimming with medical supplies, clothing, hygienic supplies and more. Several other past retreat groups at Floating Leaf also donated clothes and goods. Floating Leaf also donated bags of clothing, children’s toys and art supplies.
Families in need from Sukawati Village gathered at Floating Leaf Eco-Retreat for a charity donation event
On a beautiful October afternoon 50-60 families from the local village of Sukawati came to Floating Leaf Eco-Retreat to take part in the community outreach donation event. Several translators were on hand to take advantage of the cultural exchange opportunities. Curious questions went back and forth about where people lived, what their occupations were, how many children they had and what their passions were.
Putu hands out some medical supplies and household goods to Made, a local farmer.
Bags of helpful goods and supplies were handed out to each family. It was a heartwarming afternoon. Friends were made, deeper cultural understanding was accomplished, and those in need received essential and helpful items.

The following day we went to deliver more items to local schools and dropped off medical supplies at the village’s health clinic.

Thank you and congratulations to Anila’s yoga retreat and all the others fro Floating Leaf that contributed to this generous and compassionate event.
