Anahata Nada Journey Yoga Retreat
“Turn the hearing inward”
7 days, 6 nights
24 – 30 September 2015
Anahata refers to the heart centre meaning ‘unstruck’. Nada is the sanskrit word for ‘sound’. Together they translate to ‘unstruck sound’ of the heart centre. Anahata Nada Journey facilitates personal journeys towards finding your timeless / unstruck self.
This exclusive yoga package will include two daily yoga practices, with Edna, experienced ERYT500H teacher and Mattia, RYT200H as sub-teacher. Yoga will be a specialized practice under the skilful instructions of your facilitators. You will be able to work through limitations you experience on the mat and renew your asana practice. During the yoga classes the facilitators will provide the necessary modifications for different levels of practitioners. Edna is a skilled facilitator of asana practice for its ability to shift consciousness, awareness and intelligence.
Be sure to enjoy the physical challenge in a safe and holistic way of teaching. The yoga-style is rooted in Hatha-instructions, focusing on alignment and holding of asanas, within a flow-style practice. This gives the practitioner the opportunity to work on deeper levels. On Day One, a therapeutic approach to the practice can be expected with a focus on breath work to come into the body and bringing the group on a similar pranic level.

Personal Feedback and Testimonials
“Namaste, Edna ji, I have great respect for you. I respect your experience. More, I respect your pure heart and helping nature. With good wishes, Arya Murty”
I was in a privileged position to attend yoga classes presented by Edna in Port Elizabeth.
She has a vast and in depth knowledge of yoga and the various postures and also offers other therapies. Edna regularly updates her knowledge by attending workshops and during visits to India. Her pleasant and patient disposition makes it possible for her to work with anyone from babies to the elderly.Best wishes in your new venture. Stay blessed.

To whom it may concern.
I was referred to Edna de Jager by a mutual contact, for physical therapy and exercise after a hip replacement.
Because of my limited mobility it was agreed that Edna would provide one on one therapy.
I found Edna to be an extremely experienced and capable yoga and physical therapist, and she provided valuable instruction in a careful and caring manner. She worked within my capabilities with patience and only tested my limits when it was appropriate to do so.
The exercise routines proved very successful and my range and fitness increased progressively.
I would recommend Edna as a physical therapist to anyone lucky enough to obtain her services.
Yours sincerely- John Sadler
I am writing to highly recommend Edna as a yoga instructor. I met Edna as her student in Mysore, India, during the Ashtanga Yoga teacher training this past July and worked closely with her for one month. She is an exceptional instructor who took the time to carefully align my body while challenging me as a practitioner to deepen my practice in a safe and nurturing way. She is both inspiring and caring as she helps students create a true union mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Edna strengthened my practice, gave me spiritual advice, and supported me as I developed my yoga and mediation. Apart from being a strong instructor, Edna is a pleasure to be in the company of. Far removed from my comfort zone as I was travelling alone in India, Edna welcomed me warmly and I felt safe and secure under her care and yoga instruction. She takes a well-trained approach to yoga teaching, philosophy, and meditation and is excellent at understanding the strengths of each one of her students as well as the areas in need of practice and improvement.
Through Edna’s asana coaching she pushed me to challenge my own practice. Since my training with her, I now teach as an adjunct faculty member at Pace University in NYC. My course is an Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga and I have 20 college students who practice under my guidance. Without Edna’s caring approach to instruction, I would not feel confident with myself, or my practice, to teach a course on my own. I am very thankful of having the opportunity to meet and work with Edna and hope that one day I can practice with her again. Warm Regards- Marissa Anne Ayala
