Today’s photo of the day from Bali is a macro shot of a Phalaenopsis Blume, also known as the Moth Orchid, covered in morning dew.
Bali flowers ~ The prodigious orchid
Orchids of all sizes, colors and shapes quixotically bloom everywhere in Bali. They thrive in Bali’s tropical climate and volcanic soil. Flowers in general are quite literally everywhere; in offerings, behind the ears or in the hair of men and women, in trees and even littered on the ground as there are so many. They are used to decorate, to appease the Gods, to pray with and even to bathe with. All of your senses will come in contact with flowers at some point of your journey in Bali.
