Cleansing the body is an essential physical process that brings health and happiness – the benefits are both instant and long lasting. Over time we build up excessive toxins from diet, water, air, stress, cosmetics and medication. Our gentle detox program, along with daily yoga & pranayama, aims to alkalize the body. By embarking on an alkalizing detox, the body’s pH level is returned to normal, and the body can once again function at its optimum.
During the 10-day ‘soft detox’ program, we combine nurturing healing treatments, yoga and education for sustainable healthy living, to deeply nourish your every level of being. No starving or extreme treatments – just real yoga, whole foods and realistic, life changing tools for deep relaxation & health.
Your 10-day soft detox yoga retreat will be facilitated by Jesse Neave of Anandoham Yoga and Jodie Murray, both leading Australian Yoga Teachers and Ayurevedic Health practitioners. You will be guided and supported through your unique journey of cleansing to achieve your personal goals for long-lasting health. The intention of the retreat is to create a safe and nurturing environment for you to expand and deepen your connection with self. Jesse & Jodie will guide you on your individual journey – whether you have been practicing yoga for years, or just beginning.
Who is Jodie Murray?
Brisbane born Jodie moved away from a career in event management to study yoga teaching. After 11 years of personal practice, she completed 200 RYT at SomaChi Yoga in Melbourne, with her primary training in Vinyasa. Jodie has a passionate & dynamic approach to her teaching style. Spontaneity and the observation of the aliveness of the physical body is what she encourages students to illuminate and explore either within the intricaes of Yin to the power & focus of inversions. Since the completion of her initial training in Vinyasa Jodie has completed a number of specialist courses. Teachers Jodie has had the privilege of training with include Donna Farhi, Nicky Knoff, Paul Wooden, Anahata Giri, Simon Park & Duncan Ewing (aka Prahlad). She has also trained in Yoga of Birth with Anahata Giri and Yin Yoga with Jennifer Cresenzo. In addition to her yoga practice, she is a student of Kung Fu and Qigong. In between a busy schedule of teaching and studying, Jodie enjoys singing and playing her acoustic guitar, reading and is passionate about wholesome cooking.
Who is Jesse Neave?
Jess has been teaching Yoga for 7 years, drawing inspiration from many traditions and teachers including Anusara, Yin, Iyengar, Amrit, Ashtanga, Nada, Tantra and Hatha Yoga. Her style is creative, eclectic, and deeply nourishing. She is a specialist in Pre & Post natal Yoga, Nada (sound), and fun, acrobatic inspired Vinyasa Flow. She has been a passionate practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine & Healing with Whole Foods for over 15 years… a true believer in the old adage “you are what you eat”!
