Sacred Transformations
A Yoga Retreat Experience with Cat Kabira
March 1-7th, 2015
Do you feel like you need to pause and take some time for yourself? Are you going through a deep change or feel like you are in a rut and don’t know what the next step is? Are you curious and adventurous and looking to spend some time in a deep, distinct and meaningful way? Do you want to be inspired and celebrate the glory of your existence? Look no further. This is the retreat for you.
Come take 6 days and 7 nights for yourself and immerse in a completely unique experience with Cat Kabira in magical Bali.
A retreat is an opportunity to reflect, recharge, enlighten and gain a different perspective. It is an opportunity for a deeper listening, to return to one’s core and dedicate some time to one’s well-being. What’s special about coming to a retreat in Bali is that this island has its own power, healing and enchantment. What’s special about working with Cat Kabira, who has been living on the island for 9 years, is that she’s a one of a kind teacher who has the ability to really “see” you to your core and is able to carefully give you what you most precisely need. Those who have taken classes with her are deeply touched by her presence. Cat’s sharing is deep, fun, powerful, intense yet very soothing. She’s had training in a myriad of realms of yoga, meditation, energetic and shamanic arts
When you’re ready to shed, when you’re ready to transform, when you’re ready to embody yourself in a much fuller way, and find that wisdom and power inside of you – that’s when you come to do a retreat with Cat Kabira. It is known among Cat’s students and peers that when you spend a week with her on the mat, you’ll end up changed forever. Cat has specifically chosen a smaller, more intimate retreat setting so that you can receive this kind of special attention and support. You will find it in the different qualities of practices – from the energizing, empowering, structurally precise, and fun morning classes to the subtle, deep, soft, relaxing, nourishing Yin evening practices. On a structural level, you will leave this retreat looking and feeling different. You’ll find a healthier alignment for your body, a deeper connection to the truth of who you are and how you want to share your heart with the world.
Cat chose Bali Floating Leaf Eco Retreat for its commitment to sustainability and community. She hasn’t experienced any other retreat center on the island that in such a detailed and committed way has emphasized the need of being truly ecological, and culturally sensitive and aware.
When not on our mats, a deliberate and conscious schedule has been created. Each day is a unique opportunity to experience a different flavor on the island: from chocolate making, to swimming in a waterfall, to an authentic Balinese melukat (water blessing) ceremony, to learning how to make your own sacred offerings, to visiting the village of Munigunug and hiking the beautiful trek. Space is limited to 12 participants so you will be able to have ample quality attention for your personal yoga practice. There are also opportunities to treat yourself to a craniosacral session with Cat as well as book in for indulgent spa sessions at the center.
This retreat with Cat Kabira at Bali Floating Leaf Eco Retreat is both an opportunity for you to return back to yourself, nourish, recharge, refresh and have fun. Any old tensions, emotions or pains ready to be cleared, will. And from that grounded, centered, contented, full place, you will feel ready to share your extraordinary light with others. Your perspective about your life will be forever changed!

Who is Cat Kabira
Cat Kabira has been practicing yoga and meditation for nearly 20 years and teaching for the past 13 years.
What drew Cat into the practice while in her teens was her challenge with anorexia and bulimia as well as her heavy reliance on drugs and alcohol and healing some previous physical, sexual, and emotional trauma.
For Cat, this practice has been deeply transformative and is a love affair that has evolved through the years. She’s tasted so many different styles of yoga and has not committed herself to one lineage or guru and, instead, has committed herself to the deeper exploration of asking “Who am I?” and finding the guru within.
Along with Cat’s dedication to the yoga practice on such deep levels, she has, since her teens, been working with different masters, shamans, and teachers in the energetic and shamanic arts around the globe that has informed both how she practices and how she teaches.
Cat is known for her depth and precision and her ability to take students into profound healing journeys for the body, mind and spirit. She is as equally strong as she is soft and her teaching will both educate her students on how to develop integrity in strength as well as release completely into softness. “Transformational,” “empowering,” “lightness,” “strength” and “fun” are the words that describe practices with Cat.
She offers both energizing and powerful morning “Core Flow” classes that are beautiful to play with strength, advance your practice and bring your body into healthy structural alignment as well as healing and restorative Yin Yoga practices that integrate the natural healing power of the body as it goes into a deeper resting state.
Cat started teaching in the United States in St. Louis, Missouri and then Boston, Massachussetts. Since 2004 has been teaching Yoga Teacher Trainings, Workshops and Retreats globally in Europe, Australia, Japan, Central and South America, the USA, and all over Asia. She is currently based in Bali, Indonesia.
Cat Kabira, E-RYT, certifications through the Forrest Yoga Institute (1 Foundation training, 2 advanced) 7 Centers Yoga Arts (Sedona, AZ) and training through the Bihar School of Yoga, intensive study with Sarah Powers (yin) Baron Baptiste (power yoga), training in Hatha and yoga therapy with Jasmine Lieb, Santa Monica, CA, Open Doors School of Energy Healing, Reiki II certified, Level VI in biodynamic and biomechanical Craniosacral therapy, Level III in Craniosacral Therapy with Upledger Institute, and has worked with many teachers and masters who don’t hand out certificates.
Here are what students are saying about Cat
“I can say with full conviction that I would not be who I am today if Cat had not entered my life.“ Mather Eldred, Yoga Teacher – San Francisco
“Her energy is infectious. Her knowledge is vast. Her teaching is straight from the heart.” Sirrka Richert, artist, author, yoga teacher – UK
“Cat truly has a gift to see people for who they really are.” Fiona Bailey, Teacher – Australia
“Cat’s passion for yoga is infectious. One is inspired to explore outside the box because of the safe space that’s created.” Geoffrey Blaisdell, Actor – USA and Thailand
“Cat holds the kind of space where true growth and healing can occur.” Chris Skidmore, astrologer and healer – Perth, Australia
“Cat’s intuition is impeccable and her touch is soothing.” Leah Rinaldi, Chef – NYC
“You can’t but help work through your blocks and to really begin to blossom into who you truly are.” Amanda Shep, winemaker, healer – Australia
“Cat is one in a million. Wait, now that I have written that down, I believe she is one of a kind. Cat is playful, energetic, intuitive, captivating, fully present, and devoted. These words describe Cat as a yoga teacher from a yoga students view. Off the mat, Cat is all of these superlatives plus adventurous, intelligent, warm-hearted, and an embracing spirit. She was an inspiration in my journey through yoga teacher certification and fire-walking. Something in Cat cracks your soul open, asks your inner-self to go deeper within and then lets your magic happen. When Cat crosses your path in life it is a gift to be savored, however, you realize that upon reflection because in the moment, she is simply being her non-assuming self and the encounters unknowingly penetrate your life.” Jan Burkhardt, Yoga Teacher – Boston
“Cat is like sunshine. I met her about five years ago and was struck by her fearless and inspiring personality. The yoga classes she instructed were a mental, spiritual and physical challenge. They were healing, restorative and encompassed all a yoga class is meant to be. One always leaves given by Cat a better individual than when they entered. Cat makes the world a better place with her spirit and her classes.” Jan Burkhardt, Artist – Massachusetts
