The Soulful Woman’s Bali Retreat for a Kick-ass Life!

Location: Bali Floating Leaf Eco Retreat
Day 1 – Sunday May 31st
Guests arrive at Ngurah Rai Int’l Airport. Floating Leaf staff will stand by at the Airport to welcome participants, provide a cold drink, refreshing face towel and escort to our waiting vehicle. (Round-trip airport transfers included). Drive directly to Floating Leaf. We suggest people who arrive earlier that day to enjoy the pool, relax, and get massage at the spa. Healthy snacks, meals and drinks are available all day long. They can also be shuttled to and from Sanur as well. (Additional costs may apply)
Welcome reception: pre-dinner cocktail party with local musicians playing traditional bamboo gamelon with dancers.
7:00 pm: Welcome Dinner at Floating Leaf (inclusive)
Day 2 – Monday June 1st
7:00 – 9 am: Yoga and meditation or village/rice field walking meditation, led by Tammy Holland
9:15 am: Breakfast and a Welcome to Bali presentation. Prof. Michael Doliveck and Putu will provide an overview of what we’ll experience in Bali, offering some helpful tips on culture, religion, manners and customs, currency, as well as some basic Indonesian phrases.
10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Free time to unpack, relax at the pool, get a massage or spa treatment, walk through the village, catch up on internet, etc.
12:00 pm: Lunch at Floating Leaf (inclusive)
1.30 pm – 4:00 pm: Soulful Woman’s Retreat Workshop lead by Tammy Holland
4:00 – 7:00 pm: Reflection time and free time for spa treatment (not included).
7:00 pm: Dinner at Floating Leaf restaurant set menu (included).
Day 3 – Tuesday June 2nd, Full Moon
7:00 – 9 am: Yoga and meditation or village/rice field walking meditation, led by Tammy Holland
9:15 am: Breakfast (inclusive)
10:30 am: Balinese Offering Making Class- Learn the craft of working with flowers, leaves and natural materials to create personal offerings. This can be combined with a purification ceremony at Floating Leaf or Bali’s holiest springs to deepen the personal experience. Participants are encouraged to bring small meaningful objects to include in their offering. (inclusive)
12:00 pm: Healthy lunch at Floating Leaf (inclusive)
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Soulful Woman’s Retreat Workshop
3:00 – 5:45 pm: Reflection time. Relax with a spa treatment, by the pool with your journal or in one of the many quite places on site. (spa treatment not included)
6:00 pm: Dinner at Floating Leaf (inclusive): A very special evening Melukat Ceremony: A Balinese traditional ritual of purification and cleansing lead by a Balinese High Priest under the full moon.
7:30 pm: Soulful Woman’s workshop – Full Moon Releasing Ceremony
Day 4 – Wednesday June 3rd
7:00 am – 9:00 am: Yoga and meditation or village/rice walking meditation, led by Tammy Holland
9:15 am: Breakfast (inclusive)
10:30 am: Bali’s Central Highlands, Bedugal and Pura Ulun Danu Temple.
We will spend the day at The Bedugal Traditional Market, Lake Beratan, Bali’s most iconic temple, Pura Ulun Danu Beratanand The Botanical Gardens. As a special treat, we will have our Soulful Woman’s retreat workshop at Botanical Gardens. Picnic lunch (inclusive) in Botanical Garden.

Day 5 – Thursday June 4th
7:00 – 9:00 am: Yoga and meditation or village/rice field walking meditation led by Tammy Holland
9:15 am: Breakfast (inclusive)
10;30 am: Purification ritual at Bali’s holiest natural spring, Tirta Empul
Tempak Siring is home to the most sacred healing springs in Bali, Tirta Empul. Balinese Hindus from all over Bali journey to the natural springs to help cure their ailments, spiritually cleanse themselves, and return to their villages with holy water to use for a multitude of purposes.
1:00–4:00 pm: Lunch out (not included) and a shopping excursion to Sukawati Art Market, silver village, Batik workshops, master woodcarvers and more (inclusive).
4:00 – 6:00 pm: Reflection time. Relax with a spa treatment, by the pool with your journal or in one of the many quite places on site. (spa treatment not included)
6:00 pm: Dinner at Floating Leaf (inclusive)
7:30 pm: Evening Soulful Woman’s workshop session – Every day Spiritual Cleansing
Day 6 – Friday June 5th
7:00 – 9:00 am: Yoga and meditation or village/rice field walking meditation, led by Tammy Holland
9:15 am: Breakfast (inclusive)
10:15 am – 12:00 pm: Soulful Woman’s retreat workshop led by Tammy Holland
12:00 pm: Healthy lunch at Floating Leaf (inclusive)
1:30 – 6:00 pm: Community Outreach
Throughout the week of the retreat, we will be introduced to the incredible sites, rituals, experiences and people of Bali. As an expression of gratitude to the community for their kindness and generosity, we will be volunteering Friday afternoon in the community. It will be a most rewarding afternoon, being in community and building community.
7:00 pm: Farewell Dinner– (Included), which includes traditional Joget Dancers and local musicians with bamboo gamelon at Floating Leaf.
Day 7 – Saturday June 6th
7:00 – 9:00 am: Yoga and meditation or village/rice field walking meditation, led by Tammy Holland
7 am – 11 am: Breakfast (inclusive), relax, packing, drop off to Airport (inclusive)
