At CLiC Retreats we base our wellness programs and retreats around color. Not because there are scientific facts that suggest color can cure all emotional, mental and physical ailments – but it is an effective visualization tool. We see color. We have favorite colors. We make associations with color. We associate emotions with color. The color doesn’t cause the reactions in us, but the association of the color does. We can use color as a vehicle to take us on a journey of self-discovery. We can use color to make positive associations and focus our attention which is a vital element in modifying our thought patterns and producing healing effects.
What is color?
Color is part of light and light is vibrating energy. This energy vibrates at different speeds and this energy creates the color spectrum. You can imagine the color spectrum as a line of color, starting with red on the left as the lowest vibrations and then moving through the colors to the highest vibration, violet on the right. An easy way to remember the color order is ‘Roy G. Biv’: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. For our the CLiC Retreat programs we use white for the 7th color and the crown chakra.
Chakras
The individual chakras are located in specific parts of your body, but they radiate out and blend together with the chakras on either side. Just like a rainbow, the color of our chakras blend into one another. This means that both the chakras and rainbows contain the entire color spectrum that we can see with the human eye. This is why all colors are valid and important to our healing process.

Color Healing Summarized
We use colors in our Retreats as they can be used as a powerful tool for cultivating awareness, self-reflection, personal development and healing if we focus on them for their positive attributes and associations. At CLiC Retreats we have created a systematic way to work with colors and their positive associations. To feel the benefit of Color Healing, you do not need to know about, or believe in the chakras. They are just tools to help visualization and train healthy thought patterns. If we believe orange will bring out our creativity and yellow will make us feel happy and empowered, each time we focus on the colors we will feel these emotions. Color is a fun and positive way to bring healing and balance into your life, and we show you how with our CLiC Retreat programs. Join us at Floating Leaf 30 Nov – 8 December for our Conscious Living in Colour Retreat.
