Today we find an elder Balinese Hindu woman offering prayers and flowers at a temple ceremony. The temple is one of Bali’s great sights, Pura Ulun Danu Bratan. There may be no more iconic image of Bali than the eleven pelinggih meru (tiers) of the temple that seem to float atop Lake Bratan.
