Healing in Motion

This retreat is centered around healing, which literally means “to make whole.” The truth is that you are already whole and complete, but it can be challenging to connect with that feeling in yourself amid the distractions of busy lives. This divine location provides healing in the luxurious accommodations, healthy food, yoga and reflection sessions provided by your leaders and the spiritual culture that will surround us. Healing in Motion combines yoga and other movement opportunities with time for stillness, quiet, meditation and connection with fellow participants, retreat leaders, Balinese healers and local culture.

RETREAT DETAILS

Are you craving some YOU time? Needing some self care to help you come back to yourself? Wonder how it would be to feel so light and clear that your INTUITION can speak up loud and clear? And when She does, you know that She’s going to lead you back to YOU? Consider the word Heal as the direct translation to Whole. Know that when you set the intention to heal, you have put it in motion. And then join us for a glorious week of transformative movement: on the yoga mat, in the ocean, on a hike and under a waterfall. It will also be a week of contemplation if you choose, with opportunities to be still and just get back to YOU. This will be a week of JOY-inducing, LIFE-affirming, glorious YOU-time in one of the most extraordinarily beautiful parts of the world. It’s an opportunity, through daily transformative yoga, meditation and movement practice, delicious healthy food, excursions, local culture and reflection to help you find your center, awaken your senses and heal on all levels: mind, body and spirit.

ABOUT YOUR ORGANISERS

Beth Furman is a lifelong student of movement and its potential for healing and creative expression. She completed Graduate work in Movement Studies (MALS) and is E-RYT Yoga Alliance certified, along with extra hours of training in Somatic Awareness and Energy work. When Beth discovered yoga in her 20’s, she became fascinated with form and flow, and dove into yoga with passion! Combining studies in alignment, embodied anatomy and healing work along with her 300 hour certification from Shiva Rea, she truly found her voice as a teacher. Beth has taught at Kripalu and all over the world. Her powerful and down-to-earth presence makes any movement practice with Beth joyful and deep at the same time.

Tracy Maxwell became deeply interested in the topic of healing after facing her own health crisis. She is a four-time cancer survivor, a healing coach and survivorship guide. Her blog A Single Cell was noticed by a publisher and lead to her book Being Single, With Cancer: A Solo Survivor’s Guide to Life, Love, Health & Happiness, published in 2014. She has studied Reiki, Qi Gong and many other forms of energy, spiritual and intuitive healing. Her work with hazing prevention has landed her on ESPN, CBS This Morning and the Katie Couric Show. Tracy’s mantra is “healing from the inside out,” and she believes true wholeness begins within. Her authenticity and deep listening skills draw people in and make them feel safe and connected.
