Limitless: Unearthing Abundance in Bali Retreat

Limitless: Unearthing Abundance in Bali Retreat

When students go on yoga retreats, there is often a great amount of uncertainty (Will I meet anyone who likes me, and vice versa? Will I be bendy enough? Will I feel welcome?). I understand what that means, and the trust that you place in an instructor when you practice with him or her, and, to a greater extent, when you decide to travel with that person. I offer myself as someone who genuinely wants you to leave this retreat feeling more grounded, accepting, curious, and happy than when you arrived. You will make friends with people from across the globe, some of whom do yoga multiple times a week, and some of whom have never practiced or are just beginning. You will experience what it’s like to meet people who have no expectations of you, other than your open-mindedness and willingness to adventure with us. You will thrive!

RETREAT DETAILS

I am not a guru. I’ve been doing yoga for twelve years and teaching for a decade, but I am still a student of the world (and always will be, I’m happy to say)! Yet my classes offer something for everyone. I have a deep-seated intuition and compassion around the practice, perhaps because I myself was injured and afraid when I began. I offer challenges to those who seek progression, compassion to those who need to be heard and to slow down. I teach predominantly Vinyasa flow classes, which alternate between strength and grace, as we celebrate and wake up our bodies together. I like to think that people may come to my classes for a workout and leave with something deeper than just sweat.

As one student explained to me after our last trip, “I’m so grateful to have found a group of amazing people who want to see the world and explore and be healthy together. I would have never gone to a place like this on my own, and now, I have a group to look forward to traveling with every year! THANK YOU!” This is an opportunity for you to join other individuals – from all ages, religions, walks of life, careers, and beyond – who are excited to soak in all that stunning Bali has to offer, while making lifelong friends around the globe. I look forward to creating impact with you, on your mat and beyond!

ABOUT YOUR RETREAT LEADER

Chelsea Vincent growing up between the United States and the United Kingdom, movement was the overarching theme in my formative years. Movement in a dance studio, movement out in nature, movement from place to place and amongst cultures. I developed a love of being around big ideas, uncharted landscapes, and people who found joy in community. I was “wanderlust” before being wanderlust was a thing, as I find many expat children become, eventually. Yoga came into my life after a freak accident in high school, when it was suggested during my physical therapy routine. “Yoga?” I thought. “Isn’t that for housewives and grandmas?” And then – as it does for so many people – yoga shocked me by saving me. Yoga became a place for the wild in me, a place to feel both found and lost, to explore something deeper and more meaningful than just a workout. Yoga became an expression of body, soul, and exploration, a never-ending practice of discovery, which changed the way I thought about the world and my role in it.

I received my yoga certification in 2008, and I started out teaching in the little university center gym at Carnegie Mellon University. From there, I went on to study and receive certifications in Personal Training (ACE), Indoor Cycling, Barre, Olympic Weightlifting, and the Lagree Method, as well as studying Sports Nutrition and Wellness for Anti-Aging. I have taught within some phenomenal studios and corporate sites, including Equinox, Intuit, Disney, Nestle, Paramount, and beyond. I have co-led yoga teacher trainings and cycling instructor programs, and I am always evolving and learning more. Through all of these wonderful forms of movement, I have always come back to my yoga practice as my rock. A few years ago, I realized that the next step for me was combining two of my deepest passions – yoga and travel – into yoga retreats. I have led trips to Thailand, Iceland, and the Galapagos Islands, and I look forward to adding Bali to the growing list.
