Bali Yoga Retreat 2020

“Yoga Heart: Bali Retreat” is not your typical destination yoga retreat. The yoga practices are the focus of your time away, and woven into your week you will have ample time each day for you to experience the culture and traditions of this exotic land, at your choosing.

Many people say that a daily yoga and meditation practice is very powerful and life-changing. This retreat is designed for all levels of practitioners, and with twice daily practices you will gradually become familiar with what feels right for you in building a regular practice of self-care. Our retreat center has all the necessary props, and we’ll use them all in our week together! The small group size and extended sessions allow for one-on-one guidance and assistance to refine your yoga practice. In addition to asana, we will also explore pranayama, meditation, and engage in reflection of balance integrated into our day.

Around this framework, you’ll have the knowledge and skill of Floating Leaf Retreat staff to show you the sights and sounds of Bali. You’ll have an entire “free day” mid week. Spend your free time as you like. Discover and learn about more excursions in Bali from the expert staff of Floating Leaf Retreat.

RETREAT DETAILS

This week-long retreat is a perfect way to discover the strength and power of a consistent, daily yoga practice. You’ll begin each day with a guided meditation that will set and reinforce the direction, or theme, for your time on retreat. Each time you step onto your mat, you’ll be expertly guided through physical postures – the hatha yoga practice – that will help you to embody your intentions and eventually bring you to a place of stillness and quiet in the mind, to integrate all your efforts. Don’t worry if you think 2 yoga classes each day is “a lot.” The morning practices will focus on building foundation: reviewing alignment, functional movement and basics. The afternoon practices will take the mornings into a more creative practice, integrating the basics into sequences and exploring different yoga styles. Each day builds on the previous day, eventually taking you to the pinnacle of our week together, discovering the importance of community, connection with Self, and connection with others.

Because this is your time for self-care, you can decide how much or how little to do in your free time. If you’d like to explore the magic of Bali, you can partake in the excursions that are included in your retreat fee, and add any other optional excursions that pique your interest. When you want to rest, you have the quiet beauty of our retreat center, Bali Floating Leaf Retreat, to support you. Take a swim, indulge in a Balinese massage, meet with an insightful Balinese healer.

When the retreat ends, you will have learned skills refined in a week of yoga exploration, as well as return home more grounded, grateful, and rejuvenated.
You’ll take home the memories of the colorful, rich culture of Bali and the warmth and hospitality of Bali Floating Leaf Retreat.
